Ainu Vessel
Hokkaido is known to many as Japan's quintessential ski destination and it's abundant seafood but it wasn't always part of Japan. The first settlers were the Jomons and are known to be the indigenous people of Japan.
This large Ainu dish feature beautiful Ainu style patterns. In the Ainu Language, "Moleonoka": a spiral pattern, "Aeunosha": a spiky pattern, and "Shikonoka": a pattern like eyes decorate the dish.
