Nambu Tekki Incense Stand - Sampou

Nambu tekki is a form of ironware produced in Morioka, Iwate prefecture, Japan. It dates back to 17th century Edo period. Chushin Kobo was established in 1997 by Hisanori Masuda. As the company is not as old as other foundries, he is able to build on traditional practices and explore more contemporary designs.

The curved design of the Sampou Incense Stand allows it to catch ashes in the center and features a cast iron holder to fit most incense sticks available in the market.
