Akita Mokko Love Bench

As the first company in Japan to adopt the bentwood furniture technique invented by Michael Thonet in the mid-19th century, Akita Mokko continues to create furniture using wood bending techniques with beechwood from the Tohoku region.

While the idea of a love bench was originally intended as a romantic courting and kissing bench, its intimate design creates an illusion of larger space in compact areas.

The bench is upholstered in a traditional floral tapestry with a bobbin-styled structure.
